Is the Laptop Lifestyle a Scam?

If you have any kind of online business you’ve probably seen someone in a YouTube ad talking about the many benefits of living the laptop lifestyle.

You might have heard them say that all you need is a laptop,an internet connection and a good business idea and you’ll be able to achieve time and financial freedom and travel the globe on your own terms.

You’ve might have heard them say things like:

-Make money in your sleep
-Location independence
-Time freedom
-Live the expat lifestyle and travel the globe
-Fire your boss

So the question is what really is the laptop lifestyle?

Is the laptop lifestyle a scam pushed by a lot of  “gurus” so you’ll buy their expensive courses?

Here is my opinion.

I don’t think the laptop lifestyle is a scam but I do believe a lot people aren’t 100% truthful when telling you what it takes to really live that kind of lifestyle.

There are some gurus trying to sell you on the dream of the living the laptop lifestyle so you’ll invest in their courses and coaching programs.

But some people who pitch the laptop lifestyle really do have your best interest in mind so it’s not a complete scam.

The laptop lifestyle is this idea that if you build your online business a certain way, that you have the ability to run and maintain it from practically anywhwere,generate a nice income and not have to work a 9-to-5.

With an online business you’re not tied down to a certain location like with a job or if you had your own brick and mortar business.
