My Story

Hello, Tyronne Ratcliff here.

Welcome to my web development training blog.

Hopefully you learn a thing or two reading my articles and consuming my content.

So here is my story…

My entrepreneurial journey started around the recession of 2008 when I joined a network marketing company called Prepaid Legal.

I was recruited into the company from my brother’s childhood friend from around the corner.

The first few years in network marketing were rough for me because I learned that to have success in network marketing you need to be a social butterfly and have strong leadership skills.

You have to be comfortable approaching strangers and pitching them on your business opportunity.

You had to enjoy going to networking events and talking to leads on the phone and doing what they call three-way calls.

That wasn’t for me. To tell you the truth I’m more of an introvert.

I was always fascinated by the people that didn’t have jobs who were making good money from home being content creators.

They had huge followings on platforms like YouTube,TikTok and Instagram.

They had big authority blogs that were getting tons of traffic, leads and sales!

They made really good money promoting affiliate offers, selling their own products and services and from sponsorships.

I wanted to be one of them so I started a blog.

I always liked to read and write so I knew growing a blog would be something I would enjoy.

My first blog was about digital marketing.

My first few years I failed miserably because I didn’t create enough good content and I wasn’t good at promoting the content I created.

You see,the secret to getting results with a blog is to create a lot of good and unique content and to get other website owners to link to you (backlinks).

You need other blogs in your niche to link to you because that is a form of social proof and that’s what the search engine like to see.

Anyways, after a few years I came to the realization that digital marketing wasn’t a topic I was really really passionate about.

So I decided to create a blog about coding. Coding and math were the 2 topics I was always passionate about.

When I was in high school in the 90s (right around the tech boom) I would go to Frys Electronics in San Jose and read books about programming languages like Java,C and C++.

My dream at that time was to go to college to become an electrical engineer, graduate and start making around $50k per year working for a big tech company!

Man have times changed.

As of this writing it’s the year 2025 and I couldn’t be more happier.

I’m doing what I love and that is creating web applications and teaching people how to code.

I love to teach and help people become better coders and web developers.
