You checked out a few companies and you believe you’re ready to start an MLM business. But when they were talking compensation plans the phrase” MLM binary” came up and though you tried to look smart you had no idea what it meant.
You are not the only one to be confused. Most MLM compensation plans are incredibly difficult to comprehend unless you happen to be good at math.
Thankfully,MLM binary comp plans, are some of the best type of plans to be familar with
So What Is An MLM Binary Plan?
The word binary means two so keep that in mind.
When you sign up and start your new business your first goal will be to go out and find 2 people who also wish to work towards securing time and financial freedom.
After you sign these 2 people up they’re going to be what is called your front line. Because you are working in a binary programme you can only recruit 2 people and those two can only recruit 2 people as well. That’s it. No more than 2.
So now there’s 3 of you, you and 2 others. Let’s call them Mary and Jane. With a binary comp plan Mary and Jane would go out and sponsor 2 other people each, and supposedly everybody makes lots of cash and lives comfortably forever. Sadly, many reps will not do what they are saying they’re going to do, and maybe Mary and Jane are lazy and do not function work well together.
So now you have got to go and find some new people to replace them, but you can’t substitute Mary and Jane with your new recruits, they must be placed under either Mary or Jane or one recruit under each. It’s your decision.
What Is Spillover?
So now your new recruits are under Mary or Jane ( or both ), which means that Mary and Jane got what is called binary spillover or up line spillover. In effect you have helped Mary and Jane in building the first leg of their business based totally on your recruiting efforts. One of the biggest advantages of an MLM binary plan is if you have reps above you, i.e, an active upline, they can actually help you to build some of your business.
But don’t stop there, you still have to continue to sponsor and recruit large numbers of people and keep balancing the 2 legs of the plan with the right people because most plans only pay a commission when the volume in your organization is balanced.
You’ll benefit from a large amount of spillover, but you’ll only be compensated if you keep sponsoring new people
So that is the question you should be asking.
But whether or not an MLM binary comp plan is for you isn’t important, how will you promote your new business? How do you plan on marketing your products, services and opportunity?
