MLM Success Tip #1 Get away from the television – I haven’t watched TV for close to 4 years and it’s helped me have more positive thoughts. Turn on CNN (continuing negative news) for just a few minutes and all you hear about is armageddon and how bad the economy is. Just imagine if we all just focused more on being entrepreneurs and building our businesses what we could do for the economy! Small business helps create jobs.

MLM Success Tip #2 Get around the right people – They say you’re the average of the 5 people you hang around with. This is so very true and pertains to all areas of your life, not just financially. If you’re around 5 people that are broke there is a good chance that you’ll be the 6th! What about 5 people that do drugs or eat bad, you get the point. Choose your friends wisely!

MLM Success Tip #3 Don’t be afraid to invest in your business – When you invest in your business you’re investing in yourself. If you were to open up a Subway franchise you would have to put down hundreds of thousands of dollars to get started in business. Every business requires startup capital  to get off the ground and your online business is no different.

MLM Success Tip #4 Study marketing- Every day you should devote at least 30 minutes to studying marketing. If you want to get through the learning curve quicker study more, it’s your decision. I’ve learned a lot from guys like Dan Kennedy and Joe Schroeder. Check them out when you got time. MLM Success Tip #5 Personal Development -I would spend at least an hour a day reading books on personal development. If you don’t have your mind right all of the marketing training in the world won’t help. Two good books I highly recommend are Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People and Napolean Hill’s Think and Grow Rich.

Make sure you’re encouraging your visitors to actively participate on your blog (commenting,social sharing,etc). In this post I’ll show you a few ways you can encourage your readers to be interactive on your blog.

Encourage readers to subscribe to your mailing list – One of the best ways to encourage user activity and build community on your blog is by getting your readers to subscribe to your mailing list. So every time you publish a new blog post you can simply email your list and let them know that you’ve updated your blog. When you send out the email make sure you encourage your subscribers to share your post to their social networks.

Request comments on blog posts - The easiest way to get your visitors to comment is to simply ask them to! At the end of your blog posts simply ask your readers a question and then ask them to leave their thoughts in the comments section. This is a great way to drive post-based activity on your site.

 Install social sharing tools on your blog - A good way to get your visitors to engage with your content is by installing social sharing tools on your blog. I use a plugin called Sharebar. What I like about it is that it hovers over your blog posts making it easy for your visitors to share your content to their social networks.

Create content in different formats – To get better responsiveness I’ve been doing more video and trying to create content in different formats. Don’t just do text-based posts, try to mix in a little video and audio if you can. This will encourage user activity on your site because you’ll be appealing to the different preferences that people have.

Get your readers to read related posts - When you start getting visitors to your site you want them on your site as long as you possibly can. I use a neat little plugin called Related Posts by Zemanta to help me with that. What it does is add related posts to the foot of each blog post. It’s a great way to encourage your visitors to read other posts related to the one they just read.

One of the most effective and easy ways to get your content spread across the web and drive traffic is through content syndication. If you don’t know content syndication is when you make your content available to other sites. In this article I’ll show you 2 ways you can get your content syndicated on other sites which means more traffic for you.

1.Repost.Us – The last month or so I’ve been using a neat little wordpress plugin called Repost.Us. What it does it let publishers know that you have content available for them to use on their sites. If you look at the upper right hand corner of any of my blog posts you’ll see a tab that says “repost”,click on that and it will take you to Repost.com where you can pick up the embed code for that particular blog post. If you’re a newbie blogger and need content Repost.Us is a great way to pick up content for your blog. The plugin only takes a few minutes to set up plus it’s won’t cost you a penny! It’s what I like to call “set it and forget it” marketing. If you click on the picture below you’ll see how much of my blog content has been syndicated to other sites which means more traffic for me.

 2.Article Marketing – Article marketing is a form of content syndication and is as old as internet marketing itself. There are so many different ways to do article marketing and so many different philosophies on how to do it the right way. For the sake of this post I’ll give you one way you can do it. If you know a little bit about article marketing you know that internet marketers use tools like Article Marketing Robot to submit their articles to thousands of article directories online. They also use tools like The Best Spinner to get their original article and convert it into what we call “spintax”. They then get that spintax and load it into AMR creating thousands of different variations of that seed article to blast out to these article directories. This way to do article marketing used to be a great strategy but the only drawback is that the content looks like crap and doesn’t read well. You can still spin your content but you have to make sure that the spun content actually reads well and has good syntax. Creating crappy content and submitting it to thousands of article directories isn’t the best way to do article marketing,check out the right way in the paragraph below!

A kick ass service I’ve been using for my article marketing is a tool called ezArticleLink. One thing I like about the service is that they don’t accept crappy content and your articles are reviewed by actual people before they’re submitted into the system. If you really want to crush it online you need to learn the art and science of traffic generation. Because without traffic you can’t build a list of people that you know, like and trust. In this post I’ll show you 3 marketing strategies that are working right now in 2013.

 Here Are 3 Traffic Generation Tips To Get More Site Visitors

1.Article Marketing – Article Marketing is probably one of the most effective marketing strategies you can use to drive traffic to your site. Some of your first successful internet marketers used this strategy to drive insane amounts of traffic and it’s still a great marketing strategy in 2013. If you don’t know article marketing is when you write articles and submit them to authoritative sites like EzineArticles.com and GoAritcles.com. These are what we call article directories and they get insane amounts of internal traffic from people looking for useful information. When your article is accepted at one of these big article directories you get what they call a resource box or what I like to call a bio box. This is the place where you can insert links pointing back to your site. You give value in your article and in return you get a few backlinks. There are a few benefits to submitting articles and they are:

1. Since you’re submitting these articles to authoritative sites you can actually get these articles to rank. If you don’t know it’s real easy right now to get YouTube videos and Slideshare slides to rank because the overall authority of the site your content is on is very high. EzineArticles.com is no exception. A lot of marketers will write articles and use them to presell their readers.

Tip – When you write your articles don’t give away the farm. Make sure you create a little curiosity in your article so when they get down to your resource box they’re still hungry for more information. This will help you maximize your clicks. Remember, the key is to get them to click on the links in your resource box and visit your site!

2. Content publishers frequent these big article directories looking for content to put on their sites. This is a great way to get your articles syndicated across the web.

2. SEO – SEO is what people commonly call Search Engine Optimization. This is a marketing strategy where you try to get pages on your site to rank on the 1st page of google. The way you do that is by optimizing your content for keywords. When people are looking for solutions to their problems they go to Google and type in keywords. Our goal is to create content around these keywords and then get it to rank on the first page of Google. But to get our content to rank we have to gain popularity and to do that we need what they call backlinks which are links from other sites that point to ours. Google considers these backlinks “votes” and the more the merrier! In most cases if your content gets more votes than your competitors you will rank higher than them.

3. Video Marketing – Video marketing is one of the best marketing strategies right now. People are killing it with video and for good reason. In our profession (network marketing) connecting with people is key and I believe the best way to do that is with video. Ranking YouTube videos is real easy right now and something I plan on taking advantage of. An easy way to drive traffic to your site is to create a video every time your publish a blog post. So say you wrote a blog post on article marketing tips . When you shoot your video just cover a few of the main points in your post but not all of them. Then at the end of your video tell them if they want to learn a few more “article marketing tips” to click the link in the description box below. This is a great way to drive traffic to your site, just imagine if you did this for 90 days straight!

I know the biggest problems facing affiliate marketers these days is traffic. You may be asking yourself these questions? Should I pay for traffic? Should I try PPC to increase my conversions? What free ways are there online to drive traffic to my blog, or website? I am gonna answer these questions, as well as leave a nice list of ways I personally use to generate free traffic.

First question -Should you pay for traffic? If you have a lot of money to spend on your online business, and your business is just starting out I would say yes. But be careful you could lose the shirt off your back if you do not play it smart. I would recommend finding low cost clicks on Adwords like .10 to .20 cents a click if possible. It may seem hard but with proper keyword research it can be achieved. For the more expensive keyword phrases I would start a link building campaign and rise in the search engines with proper SEO, and link building. You will see a steady increase in your websites ranking in the serps with continuous effort. PPC is just a short term fix unless you have an endless amount of money to throw around.

Do you have to try PPC? Absolutely not! I have done ppc campaigns in the past but all the traffic I generate to my blog is 100% free. And I am about to break into the top 100,000 Websites in the World shortly according to Alexa. Yaay grab the party hats woohoo. Not too bad considering there are more websites than people on this planet. And I did it with good old fashioned hard work, trial@error, and motivation.But you can always spend a small amount of money if you are on a budget like $100 and you can take advantage of Googles free $100 in advertising for new account signups. But the choice is up to you if you want to go that route.

I treat my blog like a business because that is what it is. An online business I am very proud of. That was built with my blood, sweat, and tears. Yes it has been a rough ride at times, but I would not trade it for anything in the World. If your an affiliate, or Internet marketer do you want to earn money online? Or make more money online if your an intermediate, or a seasoned professional? Then treat your blog, or website like a business and not as just a hobby. And base your blog around a niche that interests you! This will almost guarantee that you stick with your business plan for the long run, and do not give up in a few days. This will earn you more money online as an affiliate persistence.

Facebook – I am not huge into social marketing myself but there are plenty of successful people out there who earn a lot of money through Twitter, Facebook, Myspace ETC… There are like half a billion Facebook members so making a profile with a link to your site is a very good idea. Even if you do not plan on using Facebook in your marketing campaigns it will give you a nice backlink.
Ezinearticles.com – The biggest article directory online. If your just starting out affiliate marketing and your looking for free targeted traffic, and juicy backlinks, submit those articles affiliates! Ezinearticles is the king of article directories.
Articlesbase.com – I love this article directory they are on Ezinearticles.coms tail for the best online and it is instant approval. Great free traffic source to increase your income levels.
Goarticles.com – Great for backlinks, not to great for paying customers, but still worth submitting too.
Hubpages.com – I can go on and on about the various ways to earn money through hubpages . You can monetize your hubs through affiliate marketing, Google adsense, Amazon, and even Kontera. The hubs rank well in the search engines, and they are very pleasing to the eye. I have made quite a bit of money now, and in the past by writing hubs for hubpages. Take advantage of this excellent traffic source affiliates!
Adswaps – If you have already started an email list which I highly recommend by the way if you have not. The old saying goes the money is in the list, and that is 110% true! If you do not have an Email list you can sign up for a $1.00 with the best by clicking here. If you already have an email list and you want to increase your email list, and skyrocket your sites traffic check out Safeswaps it is one of the best investments I have ever made I make 10 times what safeswaps charges after the first months membership by using there service. If you set up a few adswaps a week this can really make you some fast money. For those of you who do not know what adswaps are it is basically you sending out a free offer to your list for another affiliate marketer in exchange for them sending an ad out for you. This works out for both parties to increase your list size, your earnings, and your traffic all at the same time.
Yahoo answers – Comment on questions related to your niche. After enough posts you can have an active link to your blog, or website, for a lot of free targeted traffic. Even before you have enough posts you can make a yahoo profile with a link to your website. If the person likes your answer they will be sure to visit your website.
Rss Feeds – Submit your blog to free rss feeds
Squidoo - Great backlink but they are not very affiliate friendly. I like hubpages a lot better – but never the less good for a backlink. You could earn a lot more money with them in the past but a lot of affiliate marketers still use them.
Traffic Exchanges – I am not a big fan of traffic exchanges first off. The quality of traffic they produce is low quality non-buyers. Most of them are freebie seekers with no advertising budget. Not the kind of traffic I want to attract to my blog. This is a business, and we are in business to make money. Not lose it! When I first started out years ago, I remember sitting at the computer viewing countless websites in exchange for them viewing my website. Oh, what a waste of time that was! Russian roulette anyone? All kidding aside. If your a beginner just starting out in the affiliate, or Internet marketing industry, try them out for yourself let me know what you think? Some marketers swear that traffic exchanges are great for building lists. Not the kind of email list I want, but too each his own. Improve your video marketing - I use Google Analytics to track how many visitors I get to my site from YouTube. This data will give me an idea of how effective my video marketing strategy is. Also,the data you get from YouTube analytics will show you how well each of your videos is performing. Use the information to determine what videos your visitors engage with the most. This will let you know what to focus on when creating future videos.

Learning some powerful article marketing tips should be apart of any content marketing strategy.Your first order of business should be keyword research. You can use the Google Keyword Tool when you’re first starting out. I usually try to go after keywords that get at least 750 searches a month with low competition. It’s also a good idea to sprinkle in a few related keyword terms as well. So say you were trying to rank for the keyword “dog training” you would also want to sprinkle in terms like “dog training tips” and “tips on dog training”. Doing this will make your content more natural looking to the search engines. The reason why I mentioned keyword research    in an article about article marketing is because it plays an important role any time your doing any type of content marketing and you plan on making money. Create content that people are already looking for. You can get your articles to rank and that will get you some nice referral traffic to your site ,but the real power is getting your content syndicated on other sites, this will give your content the best exposure possible.

Here are a few article marketing tips

The Google Panda/Farmer update had a bad impact on a lot of the top article directories but the ones that were hurt the most were the ones that accepted low quality content. That’s why I try to only submit articles to the top article directories like GoArticles.com and Ezinearticles.com. A lot of people have a misunderstanding about how article marketing really works. If you’ve been around for a few years you might remember when people were trying to get their articles to rank on the first page of Google. The belief was that if your article was on an authority site like Ezinearticles or GoArtilces that it would be easier for your article to rank on the first page. This would then get a lot of eyeballs on your articles and people would read them and then click the links in your resource box. That was actually true, there were tons of articles that would rank on the first page but the real power of article marketing is when you get your articles syndicated on other sites. You see the reason why you have article directories like Ezinearticles is because they provide content for publishers and marketers who might need content for their ezines. I’ve only submitted around 25 articles to EzineAritcles but I do plan on submitting more going into the future, article marketing is what I call an evergreen marketing strategy because it flat out works. Below are some of my Ezinearticle stats, if you look at what the red arrow is pointing at you’ll notice the term “Ezine Publisher”, that’s basically the number of publishers that have swiped my article and put it on their site. That’s the power of article marketing, but to make it really work you have to publish lots of articles,outsource your article writing if you have to. I heard Text Broker is a great place to get articles for cheap, Article Builder is another option as well. Check out my stats below.

My stats don’t blow you out of the water but just imagine if I would of submitted a few hundred articles what that would do for my traffic. The reason why I’m such a big fan of article marketing is it’s a strategy that has proven to work over the years, I’ve actually talked to a few people on the Warrior Forum that make over 10k a month with this strategy alone.

My Closing Thoughts About Article Marketing

Article Marketing is an integral part of any content marketing strategy and one of my favorite marketing strategies as you can see from reading the paragraphs above. It’s great for referral traffic,branding and the best way to get your content syndicated all over the web. Remember this, the secret to SEO and content marketing is to create a crap load of content and to promote that content in an effective way. Only 20 percent of your marketing will ever work and that’s a stat across the board, but that hasn’t prevented a lot of marketers from making a nice income online.

A lot of people ask me what determines a great network marketing company. There are actually a few factors that I’ve discovered after being in the industry for close to 5 years. In this blog post I’ll go over a few things that will determine if the company you join is going to be around for the long haul,enjoy.

1.Leadership – You need to join the company that already has rock solid business leaders at the helm. You’re company can have a lot going for them but without that right leadership your company is basically a sinking ship. For some reason this seems to be more of the case with internet-based companies but there are a few network marketing companies that lack leadership, and worst than that people that flat have no integrity at all.

2.Rock Solid Product –  Does your company have a product that stands alone in the marketplace? And more importantly would you join the business if there wasn’t an opportunity to make money? A lot of your bigger network marketing companies that have been around for decades have a large number of people who are just passionate about the product, or what I like to call happy product customers. If your product has to compete with the local nutrition store or say a place like GNC you might be fighting an uphill battle.

3.New Innovative Compensation Plan -  Not as important as the first two I mentioned but important nonetheless. You need a unique way to pay your distributors and you need a comp plan where people can actually make good money. I’m a big fan of unilevel compensation plans but I may be a bit biased.

4.Solid Financial Backing – Companies go out of business for various reasons, a lot of companies don’t have the financial backing for growth, a lot of people leave because of this.

5.Training and Support – Does your company have the proper  training and support? When I say support I mean upline support. Make sure the person you sign up with is knowledgeable, professional, accessible and committed to helping you build your business. One more thing about training, make sure the company you join is open to different ways to market the business. Even though a lot of the traditional ways of growing a business still work (3-foot rule,PBRs,buying leads) I probably wouldn’t join a business that has a problem with marketing your business online. If you happen to market online make sure you’re not violating your company’s policiies and procedures.

Every new site is treated with suspicion by Google, understand that this isn’t your fault. If you’re not doing any thing that would be deemed “black hat” there’s really nothing to worry about.

In the event that your site does get sandboxed by Google you’ll want an easy way to recover and do it rather quickly. In this post I’ll show you a quick an easy way to get yourself out of the dreaded Google sandbox if you happen to get penalized by Google.

Step #1 – Creat a subdomain on an existing site. For this strategy to be effective use a site that has some age and authority and that gets crawled regularly by the google bots,that way we can get out of the google sandbox as soon as possible.

So for example if your site is “http://somedomain.com” you would basically create a subdomain called “http://newsite.somedomain.com”.

Step #2 – Replicate your old sites homepage on the subdomain “http://newsite.somedomain.com”. After you do that simply backlink to the homepage of the newly made subdomain from your old domain which is  “http://somedomain.com”. So when Google comes to crawl your old site it will crawl to your subdomain as well.

Step #3 – Wait until the new subdomain is indexed by Google. Now what we want to do next is get a new domain, for the sake of this tutorial we will call it “newsite.com”.  

Now what we want to do is create a 301 redirect from the subdomain newsite.somedomain.com to newsite.com. If you don’t know what a 301 redirect is it’s basically tells the browser that the link no longer exists and is now somewhere else. Most hosting control panels allow domain redirecting so creating a 301 shouldn’t be much of a problem. You can also make changes to your .htaccess file but do so at your own risk! Only if you have experience with coding should you mess with that file.

Let me now explain to you how all of this works. Google thinks the subdomain is part of your old site. It gains the reputation and association of the old site. The 301 redirect tells Google that the new site “http://newsite.somedomain.com”  has moved to “newsite.com”. Congratulations, no more sandbox!

4.Understanding and empathy – Put yourself in their shoes so you can help them in the best way you can.Everyone has a different background, not everyone had the same experience you did, always keep that in mind. Very important indeed!

5.Attentiveness – this comes from self awareness and being in the hear and now. Stay focused, don’t get on skype,facebook, or check email when you’re talking with someone. Be a good listener, really listen to what people are saying it’s amazing what good information you can pickup if you keep an open ear.

6. Maintain your integrity – There are a lot of unethical ways to make money online, don’t push scams and promote all of those shiny objects you see online. If someone comes to you looking to buy a tool or marketing course and you think it might not be what they need for their business don’t share your affiliate link just to get an easy sell. Always keep their best interest in mind and you will be successful.

7.Decisiveness – Don’t over analyze things, getting advice from people is important but when you get their advice act on it. If you’re going places and you have goals and your decisive people are going to want to follow you. Like they say for every 1 hour in the classroom you should be 5 hours in the field. Take massive action and make corrections along the way.

8. Take initiative – Leaders take initiative, always be proactive and don’t expect for things to fall in your lap. To be a successful internet entrepreneur you must take a proactive stance in everything you do.

6. Invest in Facebook ads – Advertising on facebook and placing ads is an easy task, spend as little or as much as you like. This is the easiest ways to get fans on facebook. I would start off with a small budget, $5 a day should be fine.

I tried a little copywriting myself and found out that it’s not as easy as it looks, in this article I want to go over a few copywriting tips that you can put into practice right away, even if you’re just a beginner.

Tip #1 – There is this misbelief that if you have a lot of copy on a page that people are less likely to respond to it. This may be the case in certain markets, but more often than not the more copy your have the better the response you’ll get. But remember one thing, if your copy fails to impress or persuade people then it won’t matter how long or how short your copy is.

Tip #2 – When you’re writing you’re copy make sure you mix in a little humor. Using humor is a good way to build relationships with people, I mean we can’t talk business all of the time! Humor also helps to persuade your reader and get them to do what you want them to do, that could be to optin to a sales page or even to buy something.

Tip #3 – Whatever it is your selling make it perfectly clear what it is your offering. Try to avoid being vague and using generalizations, people want the facts! Tell them what they get,why it’s of value, and why they need what you have to offer. There is no better way to kill your sales copy than by being too general and not giving your readers a clear picture of your offer. The purpose of your sales copy is to get people to perform a desired action, be clear and concise.

Tip #4 – Always make sure you’re building value throughout your sales copy. Do this and you’re conversions will be better. You can build value by being detailed and specific about what you’re offering. For example, if you have a low end offer targeting a beginner in internet marketing, don’t be afraid to build up the value of something small like an ebook or a short report.

make sure to include a link where people can join your

I get asked this question all the time, what is the secret to success online? I’ve been marketing online for a few years now and the one common theme has always been this, build your list! All of your big marketers online focus on list building, the beauty of building a list is that you can keep in constant communication with thousands of people at a time. But to build a list you need to have a few things in place. In this blog post I want to talk about the 3 things you will need to build a list and make money online.

1. A Blog - You want to have a blog that you own and control. This will be your home base and what you will center all of your marketing around. Blogs are also a great place for people to find you and learn more about what you do. It’s your blog so you can talk about what you want when you want. People will read what you have to say and will begin to know, like, and trust you. If you’re going to blog make sure you install WordPress and that you get hosting. I’ve been using Host Gator for the last few years and haven’t had any problems.

2. A Lead Capture Page - Once you have your blog setup you need to have a lead capture page to send your visitors to. If you don’t know, a lead capture page is a mini site you design to get people into your funnel. The image below is an example of a lead capture page.

The only goal of a lead capture page is to capture a lead, that’s why they are designed to look like thin mini sites without a lot of content. You want to offer your visitors something of value so they’ll give up their name and email. Focus on getting the optin and nothing else (no distractions). The lead capture page above is one of the lead capture page templates you get with MLSP. MLSP is basically a marketing system to help network marketers build their businesses online and generate upfront cashflow.

3. An Auto-Responder – If there is one takeaway you get from this post I hope it’s this, get yourself an autoresponder ASAP! An auto-responder is basically software you use to send out email messages to your subscribers. I like Aweber because they’ve been around for a long time and they just flat out rock! An auto-responder lets you leverage your efforts. Say you have a list of 1,000 people. Instead of having to manually send out a message to each of those thousand people on your list, all you do is send out a “broadcast”. That’s the beauty about having a blog, after you publish a post you can send out an update to your list letting them know that you just published a new post. This basically creates a loop and gets them back to your blog, powerful stuff indeed!
