You were probably looking around for a network marketing opportunity and came across Market America. You probably thought the Market America opportunity looked interesting. But when you began to do your groundwork you discovered that every body and their mother was doing a Market America Review.

Many appeared to be negative – is that something you should be worried about?

Is Market America a really good opportunity to get started in?

Market America Review – It’s History

According to Market America’s official website, the company was founded in 1992 by JR Ridinger and his wife Loren Ashley.

The company specializes in retailing consumable health and beauty products.

Their marketing is essentially web based implementing a network marketing distribution model. Over 3 billion dollars of products have been shipped from their up-to- the- minute warehouse facilities in Greensboro, NC , and they also have over 500 employees globally with international operations in the U. S. , Australia, Canada, HK and Taiwan.

So what’s with all of these Negative Market America Review Sites?

A number of the sites you’ll find are written by failed Market America reps. In some cases a negative heading is utilized to get people to a website where the negativity quickly vanishes, the title to these so-called reviews is simply a tactic to get you to their website.  The individual writing them is often a successful distributor for Market America Inc who then goes on to tell you how the company’s opportunity will help you and your family financially, followed by a link so you can get additional info about joining their team.

There are nearly 200,000 distributors worldwide promoting Market America’s products and they’re sometimes called “unfranchised” business owners. Since the firm’s inception they’ve paid out over $2 billion to distributors, and over $1 billion has been paid in retail commissions. As with any network marketing opportunity, many distributors do not make any money.

With any network marketing opportunity if you don’t put in the work you don’t get paid. Any reviews you find about unhappy ex-distributors, rest assured they didn’t work at building their companies, so you can pretty much disregard these reviews.

Like most network marketing opportunities, Market America Incorporated has a monthly minimum product purchase in place to qualify in the business so you can collect and receive commissions.

To take of advantage of the compensation plan and receive those commissions you need to purchase 200 BV worth of products. BV or Business Volume as they say is roughly 80%  for each dollar you spend on goods. You can make commissions on all retail products sold b either you or your team.

The comp plan is what’s commonly referred to as a binary plan where you recruit 2 and then those 2 recruit 2 and so on.  You earn royalties once certain volume requirements are met.

The Best Defense is a Strong Offense

Market America Incorporated is indeed a successful company who offers evergreen products, with a simple comp plan with worldwide distribution. The caveat is that although this company’s opportunity may be suitable  for you and your people, there are certain things you must understand.

Any potential sponsor is going to tell you that their opportunity is the best, but the truth is that in order to build a successful network marketing business you’ve got to share your products and opportunity with lots of people on a consistent basis over an extended period of time.

Neither the company nor you can stay in business if the product sits on the shelf and collects dust. These products have to be marketed effectively to prospective customers. Nobody is going to purchase your items or join your opportunity if you do not go out and market to the masses.

So here are a couple of questions you should ask yourself. What are your plans for marketing, advertising and promotion? Once you’ve run out of warm market people to market the product to, what will you do next? Do you have any marketing or sales experience? Do you have any idea about how to market the company and its products effectively? Do you know how to drive qualified traffic to a site of blog?

These are important questions you need to ask, because although Market America’s opportunity may appear perfect, it will only be so if you learn how to market it properly.

So if your serious about promoting  your Market America business there’s only one system I can recommend and that would be My Lead System Pro. It provides you with all of the tools you’ll need plus a ton of insider training on how to drive traffic to your site, generate leads at will, and promote your business. They can even help you generate income right away to offset your expenses. Plus it’s the perfect solution to help you and your team get started regardless of your skill level.

Hey Tyronne,

I’m thinking of becoming a distributor for MA and I am in the process of researching (due diligence) so I’m reading article upon article about the company, seen all the PPT’s and talked to a director.

I keep reading the same stuff over and over…then I come across your promise. An Unbiased Market America Review by Tyronne Ratcliff. I think to myself great, there has to be some good honest information here, but nooooooooooo, what do I find? The exact same article that I keep reading in every review I encounter.

You obviously are a distributer, and have been given this article to regurgitate according to company policy.

Thanks for the comment Dendrimer, I’m in no way affiliated with Market America, I train and teach other network marketers how to generate leads for their business using the internet. It’s their decision what they want to do. The reason why you see people writing reviews is because a lot of people will go online before making a decision to join a network marketing company, so they write reviews hoping that people will hit their site and maybe have an interest in building their business online. If you decide you want to build a business offline, that’s okay. People have built multiple six figure businesses using a lot of the traditional methods (home parties, 3-foot rule, etc). All I do is offer them another way to build their business.
